OUR PROCESS
Ordering an affordable HighCube shipping container home couldn’t be simpler.
At HighCube Homes we have simplified the entire process for you.
All you need to do is obtain any building or planning permissions you might need for your area, and ensure you have electricity, fresh water, and waste water supplies in place for us to connect your home to – we’ll do the rest.
All of our homes come fully equipped and fitted out as standard, ready to be connected to your electricity and water supplies. Better still, if you choose our ‘Off-Grid’ upgrades, you don’t even need to worry about having those services available, and your home will be ready to install wherever you need it to go, so long as you have obtained all the relevant permissions.
STEP 1 – CONSULTATION
Option 1 – No survey:
Based on the clients confirmation of access and overhead crane clearances, HighCube Homes will provide the following:
- Consultation on home model required.
- Site feasibility advice.
- Quotation including any upgrade requests.
- Price: FREE
Option 2 – Site survey:
HighCube Homes will survey the site and review site feasibility and provide the following:
- Consultation on home model required
- Site visit check to determine accessibility and crane clearances.
- Quotation including any upgrade requests.
- Price: £450*
STEP 2 – DESIGN DRAWINGS & RENDERS
You are strongly encouraged to seek pre-planning advice before proceeding, as drawing release payments are non-refundable.
Option 1 – Standard Home Model:
HighCube Homes will provide drawings suitable for full planning permission applications based on one of our standard home designs.
- Fully detailed plan and elevation drawings.
- Site & Block Plans
- 3D Site renders, where possible
- Average 2 weeks.
- Price: £500
Option 2: Bespoke Home Model:
HighCube Homes will work with you to create & finalise your custom home design, and will then provide drawings suitable for full planning permission applications.
- Initial design brief & proposal
- Concept design with up to 3 design revisions
- Design finalisation
- Fully detailed plan & elevation drawings
- Site & Block plans
- 3D Site renders, where possible
- Average 4-6 weeks
- Price: £1,500

The above relevant fee is deducted from your final home price, so does not cost you more should you proceed.
STEP 3 – SALES ORDER
30% Sales order deposit.
- Final design decisions made & confirmed – Order Signed off
- Production, delivery & construction slot booked – 4-6 weeks
- Foundations installed prior to delivery
STEP 4 – DELIVERY & CONSTRUCTION
50% Payment due 2 weeks prior to delivery & Construction.
- Delivery of containers to site via crane onto prepared foundations
- Delivery of all materials, fixtures and fittings to site
- HCH Construction begins, timescale of 3-10 weeks dependant on home model.
STEP 5 – COMPLETION & HANDOVER
Final order balance due on completion, prior to handover.
- Final walk-through and Sign-Off
- HCH will demonstrate how to use all of your utilities and appliances
- All warranties will be registered and applied for you by HCH, and will be presented to you in your HCH HomeOwners pack.
- Keys will be handed over to the new owner on payment of final balance
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
The following services are available at a cost in addition to your home:
- Submitting a Pre-planning application on your behalf. £500.
- Submitting a full planning permission application on your behalf. For individual dwelling sites: £750. For multiple dwelling sites: £1,500
- To install mains water, waste water, electrics and foundations to your site for you. The price for these will be determined following the undertaking of our ‘Option 2 – Site Survey’ service, at a cost of £450.
